It's has been well over six years since fans had a full-fledged boxing videogame on a gaming console. The last company to make a boxing videogame was Electronic Arts. The game was Fight Night Champions which was praised by the gaming media and fans of the series. The game sold well but it had it's flaws that hardcore boxing fans and sim sports fans didn't like. The Fight Night game seem to alienate a fan base for another instead of giving fans deep options to customize their game to mimic the sport of boxing. EA has shelved the Fight Night series to push their UFC game series. It seems like they are trying to starve boxing/Fight Night fans into being EA UFC/MMA fans. Many fans are holding out and just are not giving in. They refuse to buy a UFC game. It's sad us boxing and sports gaming fans have to wait hoping a company stop being scared of EA and make a realistic deep boxing game that could shame any EA effort in sports gaming. I personally think if boxers and the boxing used their voices companies would jump at making boxing videogames again because the public and investors attention will be caught. All it takes is for the boxing and gaming communities to get [HASH]WheresOurBoxingVideogame trending or boxers to say, "Where's Our Boxing Videogame?" It's time for a boxing videogame. We always had A boxing Videogame no matter what the politics of boxing was. Boxing has had the very entertaining match ups since the last Fight Night and boxing videogame. A great game with fans of the sport kept in mind will sell. The excuse boxing is dying or dead is that; an excuse!
